Pipelines - Building British Columbia’s Energy Future

British Columbia can become the economic engine of a stronger, more self-reliant Canada — but that requires action, not endless delays.

For too long, major energy and infrastructure projects have been blocked by red tape, political indecision, and regulatory uncertainty. Meanwhile, Canadian energy is forced to sell at a discount while foreign dictators profit from global demand.

A BC government led by the Hon. Kerry-Lynne Findlay will work with Alberta and Saskatchewan through a strong Western Alliance to get pipelines and energy corridors built across British Columbia.

A Western-Led Energy Strategy

Our province should not be dependent on Ottawa to unlock our economic future.

A Kerry-Lynne Findlay government will champion a Western-led, Western-funded approach to critical infrastructure — including pipelines, transmission corridors, ports, rail, and export capacity — to connect Canadian resources to global markets.

This includes:

  • Supporting new pipeline infrastructure across British Columbia
  • Expanding energy export capacity to the Pacific
  • Streamlining approvals and reducing unnecessary regulatory delays
  • Establishing clear timelines for major project decisions
  • Working with industry, Indigenous communities, and provinces to build projects responsibly and efficiently
  • Defending BC’s role as Canada’s Pacific gateway for energy exports

Unlocking Canadian Energy

Canada has some of the cleanest and most responsibly produced energy in the world. Yet Liberal policies have made it harder to build the infrastructure needed to move our resources to market.

Kerry-Lynne believes Canada must become an energy superpower by accelerating approvals for nation-building projects, removing gatekeeping barriers, and restoring investor confidence.

That means:

  • Faster approvals for major infrastructure projects
  • Ending unnecessary duplication and bureaucratic overlap
  • Supporting private sector investment and job creation
  • Prioritizing economic growth, energy security, and Canadian self-reliance

Jobs, Growth, and Economic Security

Building pipelines and energy infrastructure will create thousands of good-paying jobs across British Columbia and strengthen supply chains throughout Western Canada.

It will generate long-term revenue for communities, increase trade opportunities, and help lower costs by improving Canada’s economic competitiveness.

British Columbia can lead a new era of Western economic growth — but only if we have the leadership willing to build.

Under Kerry-Lynne Findlay, British Columbia will stand for resource development, economic freedom, and a stronger West.
