News Release: Record 600-Person Rally in Surrey

Findlay Emerges as Clear Frontrunner for Leader of the BC Conservatives After Record 600-Person Rally in Surrey.

Surrey, BC: Over 600 enthusiastic British Columbians filled the Empress Banquet Hall last night for Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s first campaign rally, sending a clear signal of Findlay's growing lead in the race to lead the BC Conservative Party.

The energized crowd waved blue “Findlay” signs and cheered slogans like “Freedom First,” “Save Free Speech,” “No Tax on Gas,” “Open the Mines,” “Save the Mills,” “Build Canadian Pipelines,” and “More Freedom, Less Government!” while Findlay delivered her straightforward message: keep the BC Conservative Party truly conservative, cut taxes, restore freedom, and defeat the NDP. Findlay spoke in front of a big Canadian flag, and the room was alive with hope and real determination for change in BC.

“Tonight’s incredible turnout shows that conservatives across BC are ready for real change,” said Kerry-Lynne Findlay. “People want Freedom First. They’re tired of high taxes and government overreach - they want us to save free speech, take the tax off gas, open the mines, save the mills, build Canadian pipelines, and deliver more freedom and less government. The energy here tonight proves our campaign is building serious momentum.”

After the rally, Findlay took aim at Premier David Eby on Twitter, saying that time is up for the Premier and the BC NDP, and declaring that "change is coming to British Columbia."
Last night’s rally for Kerry-Lynne Findlay was the largest by far of any candidate in this leadership race, and the biggest provincial leadership campaign rally in British Columbia in recent memory.
