Statement from Kerry-Lynne Findlay on the Unfolding Tragedy at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School

 

Surrey, BC: I am heartbroken by the devastating loss of ten lives in today’s shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. My thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families, the injured survivors, and every student and staff member who experienced this unimaginable horror.

I want to express my gratitude to the courageous RCMP officers and emergency personnel who responded decisively to protect the community.

Tumbler Ridge is a small, tight-knit community, and the pain being felt there is felt across our province. As more details continue to emerge, our thoughts remain with those suffering tragic loss.
