British Columbians have had enough of an NDP government that puts ideology ahead of opportunity and deliberately isolates our province from the practical partnerships that would create jobs and prosperity for our families.
I am determined to build a strong Western alliance with Alberta and Saskatchewan. Responsible cooperation on energy infrastructure and resource development works. The Trans Mountain Expansion has already delivered 13.5 billion dollars in GDP and more than 37,000 person-years of employment right here in British Columbia. We will build on that success with new pipelines, upgraded highways and rail capacity, expanded ports, and the full responsible development of our forestry, mining, agriculture, and fisheries industries.
The NDP’s refusal to work constructively with our Western neighbours has cost British Columbians dearly in lost jobs, forgone revenues, and a higher cost of living. That approach ends with a Conservative government. We will create thousands of additional good-paying jobs, generate the revenues needed to cut taxes on gasoline and essentials, and make life more affordable for every family in every region of our province.
We are proud British Columbians and proud Canadians. Our federation is stronger when provinces work together in the best interests of their citizens. Less government overreach. More freedom. Focused leadership that delivers results. That is the conservative commitment I make to you.
