Supporting BC Salmon Farmers and Aquaculture

Supporting BC Salmon Farmers and Aquaculture

Save the Salmon Farms. Protect Coastal Jobs. Make groceries more affordable. Put British Columbians first.

British Columbia runs on people who work - including the hard-working coastal families who farm salmon and power one of our province’s key industries. As a reliable Conservative, I stand with BC Salmon Farmers. I will keep marine salmon farming operating and growing in BC - not shut it down through NDP-Liberal regulation and diktat.

The NDP-Liberal’s radical environmental ideology threatens thousands of coastal jobs, billions in exports, and affordable salmon on our tables. That stops with me. I will defend your right to farm salmon, cut red tape, stand up to Ottawa, and put coastal jobs first.

My Plan as Premier and Leader of the Conservative Party of BC:

  • Protect affordability - keep salmon farms open to prevent grocery price spikes.
  • Preserve coastal jobs, exports, and domestic food production in every salmon-farming community.
  • Support secure Crown tenures with long-term investment certainty so farmers can plan and grow.
  • Keep marine salmon farming open and support responsible growth - no forced shutdowns.
  • Support innovation and new technologies on a practical, gradual timeline.
  • Use science-based standards to protect wild salmon - evidence, not ideology.
  • Improve transparency and public trust with open data and fact-based decisions.

This is the same common-sense approach I will bring to every resource sector: open the mines, save the saw mills, build Canadian pipelines, and grow B.C.’s world-class salmon aquaculture.

British Columbians deserve a Premier who puts freedom first and backs the people who produce our food.

Real change is coming, and it starts with electing a reliable conservative as Premier and Leader of the Conservative Party of BC.
